Alpinestars GP Pro Gloves

Battle Armor Comes in Pretty Colors
Alpinestars takes rider safety seriously. At first glance, you’ll notice that these gloves are armored like a tank. Protection is positioned virtually everywhere on the GP Pros, including molded polyurethane knuckles, outer wrist enclosures and outer palm protection as well as finger tip armor and padding almost all the way around the gloves. Additional padded areas are on the outside of the thumb, lower palm and a rubberized piece on the back of the hand between the knuckle and wrist armor for added defense. The gloves are made of full grain leather and the backs of the hands are reinforced with knit Kevlar. This is one tough set of road racing mitts, constructed to survive the worst that a crashing rider can subject them to.
Probably one of our favorite features about these gloves is the finger bridge between the pinky and ring fingers. This extra piece of leather keeps the pinky connected to the ring finger so that it is harder to bend your most fragile digit away from the hand in the event of a crash. The finger bridge is a nice safety feature which helps to prevent hand injuries yet does not limit normal movement. Sliding the GP Pros on over your fingers, you’ll be happy to find that they run true to size and are very comfortable to wear. Another thing we like is that the seams of the fingers are sewn on the outside of the gloves, so that there is no material poking at the skin to cause discomfort. The finger tips are made of a thin leather that allow for a good feel to the bars without compromising protection and the palm has a synthetic suede reinforcement for a better grip. The fingers and back of the wrist are built with accordion stretch panels to aid in dexterity and come pre-curved for a better fit. The gloves also feature a large gauntlet that is easy to slide over a suit or jacket and an adjustable wrist strap to keep the gloves tight on the hand.
