Nice Raxx Motorcycle Transport System

Author: K3 Chris Onwiler

A must for your well organized trailer

If you take motorcycle stands to the track, you know what a hassle they are to store in your trailer. About the only place you can put them is on the floor between or behind the bikes. Invariably, this leads to scratched bodywork, rims and exhaust cans. Then you realize that you need to stow or retrieve some item from the front of the trailer and end up tripping over the stands in the process. There simply MUST be a solution!

This is probably the exact train of thought that led to the creation of Nice Raxx. Manufactured by BKP Products, Nice Raxx is a well-engineered retention system that will install on your trailer walls or ceiling, allowing you to get those all-important stands conveniently out of your way. I’d seen Nice Raxx advertised in various publications and was curious, but not enough to turn loose of my hard-earned cash. Then I ran into the guys from BKP Products at a Gingerman, Michigan trackday and saw their display. This is one of those items that just doesn’t impress you as much in pictures as it does in person. Once I was able to actually touch the product it was love at first sight, so I wrote a check on the spot and headed back to my trailer with two of the $40.00 Nice Raxx retention systems under my arm.

Installation was a breeze. I actually mounted them in the downtime between the sessions that I was riding. Instructions are crystal clear. While BKP suggests that you have a helper to hold things while you make pencil marks prior to drilling, I was able to mount the Nice Raxx alone. Each stand holder is attached to the wall by four screws. Because every trailer will provide its own unique mounting challenges, BKP Products leaves it to you to source the correct mounting screws. The key here is to find screws long enough to secure the Nice Raxx system to a frame stud inside your trailer wall without penetrating its outer skin.

Once installed, the Nice Raxx system is easy to use and very secure. My stands are Pit Bulls, but BKP Products claims that their retention system will hold almost any stand on the market. With your stand removed, the Nice Raxx hangs flat against the wall, keeping it well out of your way as you move around in the trailer. Since your bike stands are usually the last things to get loaded and the first things to come out, I mounted mine right near the back door for easy access. I was all grins when I stored my stands in the Nice Raxx prior to heading home once the weekend was over. These babies are well-made and just trick as hell. Not only do they solve a problem that I’ve been dealing with for ten years but they also provide that indefinable pride of ownership you get when you’ve purchased something that is exactly right for its intended purpose.
