A gift list for knee-draggers
You know it’s happened to you. Your beloved relatives look on in anticipation as you tear the wrapping from their carefully chosen gift. “You’re REALLY going to like this one!” your Aunt Millie states proudly. You pry open the box and there it is, a Genuine Motor Clothes tee-shirt, featuring a picture of a bandanna-wearing skull with a snake writhing through its eye sockets and a knife between its teeth, overlaying either the famous Bar and Shield logo or a Maltese Cross. Knowing that this piece of “wearable art” probably cost your misguided loved one better than fifty bucks, you try not to let your disappointment show. Will your relatives ever figure out that you ride a sportbike and not an Orange County Chopper? With all due respect to your Aunt Millie, TrackdayMag.com has put together this list of gift items sure to please any sportbike enthusiast. Our criteria was that in order to make the cut, an item had to be something we’d actually enjoy owning, would fit with the racetrack rider’s lifestyle and must cost less than $100. This is the good stuff. How you get your loved ones to read this article is up to you…. GNO Knee Sliders They’re cheap, thick, wear like iron and stick to your suit no matter how hard you bang them off the curbing. Best of all, GNO pucks slide very nicely across the asphalt, giving good feedback without being obtrusive. At $20 per pair in black, white or off-white, these may be the best value out there in knee pucks and are priced so low that even Secret Santa could buy them for you without going over budget. To purchase, contact Geno by email at gno1@charter.net or by phone at 618-709-6311.

In fact, the Magnums have become our de-facto street gloves, due to their combination of comfort, protection and a price reasonable enough that we wouldn’t go bankrupt buying another pair if we lost them on a road trip. Available in black, silver/black or white/black, wherever Scorpion products are sold. See http://www.scorpionusa.com/ for more info.
