So are Gold Valves entry level and old school?  Yes and no.  Better alternatives do exist but they are quite a bit more expensive.  The problem with motorcycle suspension is that each step up the ladder of performance costs substantially more money while yielding considerably smaller gains.  There’s no doubt that our modified forks and shock are worlds better than stock and would make any machine so equipped a much safer and more enjoyable racetrack ride.  The real question comes down to cost and there only you can look into your wallet and decide what’s right for you.  These Race Tech parts offer about 80% of the performance improvement you’d realize from an aftermarket shock and a fork cartridge kit but will set you back approximately half as much as those exotic parts would cost.  From the perch of our modified Gixxer, we see that as a bargain.
