Fixing Your Unscheduled Alterations

So you wadded your bike. It happens to the best of us.  Hell, even Troy Bayliss crashes every once in a while. The trouble is, not only do you have to fix up your bike but your leathers were trashed too. While Bayliss can grab another set of fresh scented leathers out of his closet, you probably need to send yours out to get some repairs. Where can you get them fixed without spending close to the price of a brand new suit? Do what hundreds of other track riders and racers from Pro to Amateur do and call or email Alexa at Spyder Leatherworks.

Spyder repair before and afterAlexa Krueger started her company, Spyder Leatherworks, in 1996, specializing in the repair of motorcycle touring and race gear Spyder’s staff can handle anything from small operations such as fixing a broken zipper, to repairing leathers that have been cut off by medical personnel. (Keep in mind though that not all cut-off leathers can be repaired.  It depends on how and where the EMTs cut the suit.) Road rash, holes and loose stitching can be repaired, patched or sewn over.

Spyder Leatherworks also does custom graphics and logo work. If you need sponsor patches, aHatcher's patchers nickname, or other logo sewn onto your leathers, Alexa can cut them out and stitch them on.  Presenting the proper image is a main factor in getting or keeping race sponsors, and nothing looks more professional than a clean set of leathers with your sponsor’s logo placed on the back.

Taken from Spyder Leatherworks’s website, www.spyderleatherworks.com, “Alexa’s philosophy is to have riders comfortable in their gear. Proper fit is essential to peak performance on the track and the street.” Besides repairs and logo work, the company also specializes in alterations to make your off-the-shelf suit feel like a tailor-made set of leathers. To get alterations done to your suit, simply call the shop and Alexa will let you know how to take measurements on your body. Measure yourself, write down the resulting numbers and mail them along with your suit to Spyder Leatherworks and rest assured that when UPS returns them to you, they will be tailored to fit like they were designed specifically for your body.
